DIMMI is a French artist who produces jazzy house music. He grew up in a city near Versailles (France). He started his musical aspirations when he was young and played the saxophone for several years. When he got older, he became the singer/guitarist of a rock band that he formed with three friends. Their band was together or four years and it was DIMMI’s first experience in the music scene.
His musical influences are varied: he is a big fan of the Daft Punk, Mr. Oizo and more generally known artists with a French touch as well as older musicians like The Beatles, Johnny Cash and Serge Gainsbourg.
In 2012 he started to compose electronic music. He was then influenced by artists like Bakermat, Oliver Koletzki or Parov Stelar. At the end of 2012, he found a style he felt comfortable with. His encounter with the sax player and now friend, B. Lacoste played a great part in it. Songs like Et Voila or Promesses are the result of this collaboration.
In 2013 DIMMI has more than 1,5 million plays on his tracks such as Promesses, Dizzy and Plausia. His fan base is growing every day! He’s invited to play in clubs everywhere in Europe.
