Remy Cooper, also known as the twenty-years-old Remy Borsboom started his career as a nine-year-old boy. Remy played the character Little Tarzan in the Disney® musical Tarzan in The Hague. Being surrounded by the music of the legend Phil Collin made a deep impression on him ever since. At the age of fourteen, he started with DJ’ing and producing electronic music. Two years later, in 2015, he won the Battle of the DJ’s. The experience of DJ’ing at HBO Introfestival at Breda, followed. Playing at the party island Ibiza was the next step, followed by many other performances.
What started out as two free downloads on the internet, grew to a blog release and multiple label releases. With his debut release on Armada Music in 2016 “Keep Running”, he burst onto the scene. The track was supported e.g. by EDX, Armin van Buuren & Alex Brandt and multiple Spotify playlists. Soon after, Fill Your Hope rocked many dance floors. The track even made it to the Dutch Top 40 selection list. Even as the follow up, Afterglow. With over 2.400.000 plays on Spotify it became a huge hit of the playlist “Wochenende”.At the beginning of 2017, Afterglow (Acoustic Version) was released by The Bearded Man. Remy Cooper returns to Armada Deep with another one of his full-fledged masterpieces. Comprising swell rhythms, kick-ass vocals shots and unique melodies, ‘Sugar Junk’ is the adrenaline rush that completes your club experience. With support from Don Diablo, Kryder, Lost Frequenties, EDX and many more. Sugar Junk also entered the Dutch Viral 50 Spotify playlist.
The music that he produces & plays during his performances can best be described as melodic and groovy accessible deep house music and varies between pop and disco influences.
